Day 11. McKennlie had a good night last night. All her numbers were good and they were able to do a vent test( they turn the ventilator all the way off for 1 hour and see how she does on her own). She passed with flying colors. We think they will pull the vent with in the next 24 hours. They did X-rays this morning to clear her C spine and all preliminary results look great. We still need your faith and prayers. Everyday we see improvement and we know our girl can not only survive this, but that she is going to continue to exceed any expectation the doctors have for her.

  7. I do not know this precious little girl but I saw this blog and wanted you to know that I have been continually praying for McKennlie since I found out. I know our GOD hears us. I to had a little girl in 2000 who suffered a TBI in a car accident when she was 4 years old. She had many of the same setbacks as McKennlie has had and many people around the world were praying for my daughter. She is now 16 years old and has no sign of that horrible TBI. She is almost a straight A student and at the time I know the DRS didn't know what her outcome would be. I PRAY McKennlie will have the same awesome outcome as my daughter had. I will continue to pray and watch your blog for updates. Deb in MN

  9. Happy tears!!!! Chris and Mel, we can't get you guys out of our minds. We are amazed at the strength you have shown through this difficult time. Like everyone else has said, there is no doubt that you have angles among you along with the compassionate hand of the Father. We too continue to pray for your entire family, but especially for McKennlie as she fights to heal from this accident. We love you and are here for you if you need anything! Kelby and Stacy

  10. That is such great news, we are all so happy to hear that. Chris and Mel, I hope you guys know how many people are praying for sweet little Mckennlie. I am so happy to hear she is exceeding the Dr expectations. I look at the blog everyday and can't stop thinking about you guys. Mel I don't know if you have looked at your FB lattely but Mandy Bybee left you a story about what just happened to her dad. You need to log on and read it. It is a miracle and I know it would lift your spirits up to her his story. We love you guys and are thinking about you daily:) Darin and Carly

I was telling Tyler that positive attitude is a total demostration of faith in our Heavenly Father. Love you all, and grateful Bella played with Landon on this past Sunday, he talks more now since playing with her. love you and keep you in my prayers. Marta and her family.
