Day 7.  Today McKennlie is doing well she is starting to come out of the coma meds.  The doctors are starting to see some signs of more awareness ( pupils reacting, eyelids closing to protect eyes, and some coughing).  We are hoping our girl will try to breathe and help the ventilator.  We are still just waiting, hoping, praying, and using all the faith we have.  Her pressure seems to be holding which is great.  She looks so great with her hair all braided and toes painted.  She definitely is our miracle girl and she keeps surpassing the doctors expectations which is just what McKennlie does she has ALWAYS surpassed expectations.  We love you all and are so grateful for your prayers, concern, and love!  We can feel it, it is tangible and brings great comfort.  Chris said today that our Father in Heaven is so merciful and we are so thankful for his mercy.

  1. I love the star gown she is wearing. It was my favorite of Ryan’s. This brings back so many memories. I know how hard it is. I also know the strength we received from up above. We have been told that through the trial of our faith we will receive blessings. They will come and I am sure you have already received so many. I know you can do this.
Primary Children’s Hospital is a wonderful place, as I am sure you already know. The spirit is so strong there. The nurses are great. Our favorites were Ashley, Liz and Andrea. Watch out for Michael. He is a tease. Hope Bella is enjoying the slushy machine and having fun playing in the Forever Young Kid’s Zone. These small but simple things helped put smiles on my kid’s faces.
We are here is you ever need to talk. You are in my constant thoughts and prayers. Hang in there and please holler if you need anything.
    Love, Catherine Lott and family
